About Us

Founded in 2014 by Radu & Andrei Nicu. Movecento is a studio at the crossroads of Art and engineering.

In 2012, the twin brothers completed their master’s degree in Robotics at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and upcoming years worked in the Automotive and Aerospace industry.

They believe that robotics and mechanisms should not only be about functionality but also about Art. This grew only bigger since 2014 when they had the chance to fulfill the urge for creativity by designing the mechanical sculptures at Enigma Cafe Cluj, “the first kinetic Steampunk Bar” as described by Bored Panda.

Fascinated by the beauty in movement and light, the electrically powered pattern or random motion translates the human perception to a different kind of awareness, a carefully arranged intrigue.

Altogether the sculptures celebrate the beauty and possibilities of mechanics in simplified geometric shapes with an engineering roughness.

The magic dust brings characters to life. In the same way, thanks to the mechanical design and engineering, they bring the magic of motion to project & ideas, closer to you.
